FAQs

Why should I be concerned about mold, asbestos, etc.?

Many times, property owners are unaware of the potential health hazards associated with their properties. These hazards can pose a serious health threat to the occupants and can cause potential liability issues between tenants and property owners. The State of California has specific laws to protect workers and occupants from exposure to hazardous materials such as asbestos and lead. Strict penalties may apply to property owners that do not comply with local and federal regulations. Consulting with an environmental professional is the only way to definitively identify potential hazards.

House of our DreamsAre the lab results reliable?

Yes. Our technicians follow strict protocol during sample collection to ensure that samples are collected correctly and consistently. Sample information is documented on a chain of custody and submitted to the laboratory with the samples. Enviro Diagnostics’ laboratory resources include AIHA accredited laboratories and Ph.D. mycologists. Laboratory personnel follow strict protocol from the moment the samples are submitted to the final reporting of the sample results to ensure the highest level of quality and accuracy.

What makes you different from other environmental testing companies?

We are insured, certified, and experienced. The State of California requires certifications to perform asbestos and lead related work, however there are currently no such requirements for mold related work. Enviro Diagnostics’ mold technicians are certified through the American Council for Accredited Certification, North America’s premier independent certifying body. Our lead technician currently holds the status of Certified Microbial Consultant. CMC certifications are accredited by the Council for Engineering and Scientific Specialty Boards (CESB), a nationally recognized independent accreditation body. ACAC certifications are the only designations in the indoor air quality field to earn CESB accreditation.

How long does the testing process take?

On-site assessment and sample collection usually takes a couple hours or less. Laboratory analysis is usually completed between 24 – 48 business hours. Rush analysis is available for emergency situations.
